GIAC Stage 2+ Powered 991 Turbo S goes 10.20@134.5 mph in the ¼ mile!
6speedonline member MarkBlackwell propelled his Porsche 991 Turbo S down the drag way for an 10.2 second pass, setting a new U.S. record quarter mile time (world’s fastest for an NHRA sanctioned track) for the Porsche 991 Turbo platform (previously held by another GIAC customer).
Blackwell’s 991 Turbo S is equipped with only bolt-on components and off-the-shelf software. The record-setting Turbo modification list is as follows:
Incidently, a GIAC tuned 997.2 Turbo still holds the quartermile record for the 997.2 platform with stock turbos on an NHRA sanctioned track.
