GIAC is pleased to announce that user-adjustable launch control is now available for the Volkswagen MKVI platform (GTI / GLI). Via the Flashloader handheld device, users can press the "MT" buttons to adjust the stationary rev-limiter in 100 RPM increments. There is also a toggle for the launch control limiter, enabling higher revs for performing an effective water box burnout.
This feature is currently offered for manual transmission vehicles only, and is offered as a free update to current GIAC customers. While most ECU part numbers are currently supported, please contact GIAC to verify software support before scheduling any flashing appointments.
