93 octane software is now available for the Porsche 997 GT2

2008-07-07

First release software provides a reliable 600-615 HP and 615-625 TQ with upgraded headers and exhaust (Numbers are estimated crank based on 4-wheel dyno results and assume a conservative 15% drive train loss). The gain throughout the useable power band, 2000 to 6000+ RPM, is dramatic. Drive-ability remains as smooth as stock with the exception of the impressive pull at full throttle.

The dyno plot depicts three runs:
- GIAC performance software for 93 octane with GMG turbo-back exhaust and GMG headers,
- GIAC performance software for 91 octane with GMG turbo-back exhaust and stock headers, and
- baseline stock software with 91 octane with a GMG turbo-back exhaust and stock headers.

91 octane, kill and valet programs are also available.

100 octane (race mode) and other inter-cooler programs (91/93) have also been released with GMG's World Challenge Package for the GT2. The 100-octane program with GMG intercoolers and exhaust makes 650 HP and 690 TQ crank. The 91 octane program with GMG intercoolers and exhaust makes 625 HP and 670 TQ crank.

Thanks to GMG for first class hardware and providing the GT2 used to generate these dynoplots.
